Accomplishments:​

• Co-inventor of two FDA-approved drugs at BMS and Abbott Labs

        - Co-inventor of saxagliptin at BMS, a breakthrough DPP4 inhibitor for type II                         diabetes,FDA 2009 (DJ Augeri et al., J Med. Chem. 2005,48, 5025).

        - Co-inventor of venetoclax, a bcl2 inhibitor for cancer, AbbVie, FDA 2015

• As medicinal chemistry director at Lexicon, I led a team of 16 chemists in a small molecule campaign to IND (investigational new drug) and through Phase IIb clinical trials for rheumatology, arthritis, and psoriasis.

• Five INDs in oncology, immunology, metabolic and antiinfectives - including saxagliptin and venetoclax as NDAs (new drug applications).

• Publications:  52 issued U.S. Patents, 46 Journal Manuscripts,18 WO Patent Apps, 11 presentations and invited lectures at regional, national and international meetings, >7785 citations​
